Hello Traveller
Welcome to week 8 of my rune mini course- Wynn
This week’s rune is Wynn.
Wynn is another runic spirit left out of all the rune poems, save the Anglo Saxon one.
The single verse dedicated to it describes a person that has a good life. In the description, it lists three things s/he doesn’t have and three s/he does (three being a sacred number).
A person that lives well has no suffering, sorrow or anxiety. However, s/he has prosperity, happiness and a good house.
Obviously, due to ebbs and flows created by the ever-changing state of everything, such a blissful existence is temporary.
How this information can help you understand what Wynn is conveying when it appears in a rune casting:
When Wynn appears in a rune casting it promises a perfect joy for the one casting the runes. For a limited amount of time or in a specific situation a perfect happiness will be experienced. The recipient should take full advantage of the feeling with a grateful heart because it will last but a fleeting moment in the grand scheme of things.
